PADIGLIONE PER L’INFANZIA
Competition for a playroom dedicated to children with disabilities, Milano (IT) 2013
The proposed project for the “Children’s Pavilion”, is primarily an integral part of the “Library of Trees” public garden. Although the pavilion is enclosed and contains a specific service for disabled children and their families, his project aims to be an opportunity to complete the overall design of the Garden, making use of elements and materials traditionally used in Milanese public green spaces (gates , hedges, trees, furnishings) and creating a highly recognizable element, despite the secluded position with respect to the main flows. In these terms, the pavilion not only intends to meet the needs of its first recipients but also wants to have an urban value due to the iconic and playful shape of its most visible portion, capable of functioning as a signal of the presence of this delicate service.
