Permanent installation, Piazza dei Caduti, Viterbo, Italy, april 2009 “Cantieri d’Arte – Visioni Urbane Contemporanee”

A sound system plays the sound of the Urcionio river flowing under the ground of Piazza dei Caduti, central traffic hub of Viterbo, it emotionally evokes its presence. The installation helps to establish a bridge between the city and the environment through the thread of the stream that combines the urban dimension with the Arcionello green area, recently established as a regional natural park. The title of the work, “-14.86”, refers to the depth of the river from the surface the piece is installed.
