Temporary pavillion, Busan, Busan Biennial, South Korea 2006
Realized at the Busan Biennale, it is located in the city center, on the banks of its most important river that runs through a densely built urban environment and, at that point, it flows in a completely artificial riverbed, which has been planned to be transformed into an urban park. Green Room is a temporary garden that reflects on the relationship between nature and artifice proper of his own context. It is built within a wooden room two by two meters wide, enclosed by walls of almost four meters height, it maintains the appearance of a precarious and temporary construction. Inside, a team of local gardeners set up a garden designed with shapes and materials of the local tradition, while the walls are completely covered with artificial plastic vines.
