Temporary Pavilion, Kroller Muller Museum,Otterlo, Nederlands 2004

LAB is the first open air exhibition in the sculpture-park of the Kroöller-Müller Museum. The metaphor of the labyrinth, as a possible interpretative device to represent the contemporary urban condition, was the initial concept used for the development of the exhibition design.
An outer corridor, a trench bounded by two walls covered in roughly cut poplar boards, defines a rectangle measuring 75 x 50 m. The same narrow corridor clearly demarcates the precincts of the exhibition.
The works are contained inside several pavilions, which are concatenated by this peripheral circulation.
